Reports started surfacing on Sunday that Jason Aldean was caught in a compromising position with former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr while in CA hanging at The Den. The pair were caught cuddling and what looked like kissing while inside.
Jason made a statement this evening regarding the allegations and has asked for help in dealing with the matter privately:
Hey Guys – I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites.
The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.
Lots of fans have jumped on this story with their thoughts. Some have expressed extreme disappointment with Jason going to lengths to say they won’t buy his music anymore, while others have said his personal life has nothing to do with his music.
His song “Take a Little Ride” is this week’s No. 1 song! The song hit the charts just 10 weeks ago and is the first single off his upcoming album Night Train.
Little Big Town still holds the top spot on the Billboard Country Album chart with Tornado.
As far as his music there is no question he is incredible. I would not stop listening to it. But he needs to stay out of these kinds of situations if he truly loves his family. Don't let the new stardom go to his head. Family is more important than fame.
