Miranda Lambert is featured in USA Weekend. Inside Miranda talks, music, marraige, and The Pistol Annies. It turns out, she has high hopes for the trio she created.
Whenever someone says something nice about the Pistol Annies, I light up,” says Lambert, “I’d love to have the Pistol Annies be Dixie Chicks big.”
The trio is currently working on their second album.
Miranda also talks about how being married to Blake Shelton has changed her,and how the couple manage to make their hectic schedules work for them.
“We text a lot. Our marriage works because we have other stuff going on. I’ve learned that if you’re someone’s world or someone’s your world, eventually it will explode.”
Blake is really laid-back and goes with the flow,” she says. “I’m intense and need to plan.
“He’s taught me to not take myself so seriously. I would never laugh, and I had no sense of humor. I had to work all the time. He made me have fun. I think I’ve taught him how to really love. I don’t think he ever did before our relationship.”
Miranda and Blake will go up against each other during the CMT Awards Wednesday night. You can read more from USA Weekend and Miranda here.
